Welcome to the Lusophone Studies Association (LSA)!

The Lusophone Studies Association (LSA) is an interdisciplinary academic association dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of scholarly and related research about the Lusophone world.

On behalf of the Board of the Lusophone Studies Association, we would like to voice our support to those demonstrating peacefully in the U.S.A. and throughout the world for justice for the family of George Floyd, for equitable police treatment of all people and for an end to Anti-black racism. Our community of scholars condemns racism of any type and sends our solidarity to all those who are being hurt by racist acts, attitudes and practices.
